Why are the services of Trauma Solutions of South Florida needed?

Our specialists ensure that infectious pathogens and odor causing bacteria are properly cleaned, disinfected, deodorized, and disposed of by a licensed bio hazardous waste carrier.

Do we have to pay for these services up front?
No. If you are a victim of a crime, Trauma Solutions will perform all required services without requiring payment at the time of service. We will assist in the filing of insurance claims or obtaining reimbursement from the victim’s crime board.

Can I get reimbursed from my insurance company for these services?
In most cases, home, business, or auto insurance will reimburse you for our services. Please consult with your individual insurance carrier for possible reimbursement. If you are the victim of a crime and have no insurance, contact the victim’s crime board in your state.

Can an employee of my business clean the scene?
Federal Regulation 29CFR1910.1030 states that no employer can expose an employee to cleaning blood without first providing:
A.  Blood borne pathogen training.
B.  A written exposure control plan.
C.  Personal protective equipment.
D.  The opportunity to receive the Hepatitis B vaccine, exposure evaluation, and follow up.
E.  A method to remove and properly store the bio-hazardous waste in properly marked containers for disposal by a licensed medical waste carrier.

Can I be penalized if I choose to have my employee clean the scene?
Non-compliance with 29CFR1910.1030 has resulted in OSHA fines ranging from $7,000-$70,000.  More importantly, you are placing your employee's and your customer's health at risk.
